DANCE THEATRE DIS TANZ


Dance theatre Dis Tanz, founded in 1995 by dance artists Tytti Kronqvist and Suvi Pohjonen, is a professional dance theathre focused on contemporary dance aiming to offer high skilled dance to wide audience combining different forms of art and bringing dance experiences out of theatre halls. Apart from our own performances we have had several co-productions with other theathres and festivals.

During the past few years we have had enourmous succéss with touching dance performances for children and as memorable is our Historical repertoire for elderly and disabled people in hospitals and day care centers - also with live music! We have done several performance projects which combines dance and paintings. During the years we have had over 400 performances seen almost 40.000 people.

Dis Tanz has been able to present three new premieres the year 2009. Tytti Kronqvist´s soloperformance "Spår/Jälkiä" that premiered the 20th of March 2009 at Hanasaari, Espoo, visited Sörmland, Sweden oktober 2009.

Dance artist Anna Othman started to work for Dis Tanz in February 2009. She presented her first choreography "What´s Your Story, Woman?" in Kimito 12.7.2009. Her second choreography "Under the umbrellas" is made for young audience.
